– EXHIBITION AT FLORIDA’S CHELSEA ART CENTER GALLERY –
After a seven-year hiatus in exhibiting my photographs in a gallery during the latter half of my diplomatic career, I was honored to receive the opportunity to have a one-man exhibition in Ocala, Florida, at the Chelsea Art Center. The opening took place on October 15, and there was an excellent turnout of fine arts photography enthusiasts, members of the media, and family.
My host was the owner of the Chelsea Art Center (CAC), Dr. Barbara Fife, who I had met in spring of 2023 during a tour of the facility along with fellow members of the Ocala Art Group. We immediately recognized the mutual benefits of my exhibiting at the CAC, to bring more attention to the recently opened operation, and so I could share some of my art photography with the Central Florida community. The CAC hosts a wide variety of classes in painting, drawing, and allied arts, and Dr. Fife also suggested I might teach a class in Photography there, to which I readily agreed.
I gave brief remarks to start the exhibition opening:
-
"The Human Pulse" series was located in the CAC library
-
18 photos from "The Human Pulse" series were about 30% of the series.
